To use this template, use the format {{Image|imagelink.jpg}}, which will create a thumbnail of 250px width (keeping the image's ratio), or {{Image|imagelink.jpg|500}}, replacing the 500 of the example to the image width you wish to use (the ratio will still be preserved).
